Same as me. I have a type K thermocouple. It has red and yellow wires. It also says "TYPE: K" on the packaging. but the "K" is crossed out and the "J" was written with marker. The wires at the Amazon show were red and white.

I needed type J which would have the ANSI wire code white and red or black and white for ISC. I have Tc with yellow and red wires, this indicates the type K thermocouple is not working with my meter. Looks like someone in the delivery department is color blind.
