Uxcell Replacement Soldering Cleaning Sponge Review

Sponges didn't expand as they should. I had to use two sponges to keep the soldering tip from rubbing against the ground. Very disappointed. I've never heard of a sponge that doesn't stretch when wet.

This product is absolutely unusable in the form in which it is currently manufactured. They are too thin, don't store enough moisture and don't fit me. You should make them at least 4 times thicker and reduce the quantity in the order.

As much as I would like to give this product fewer stars, at this price point you can't complain. They will work in a pinch but as you can see from other reviews they are very flimsy and warp a lot when dry. A true OEM part for my application costs about 20x more and is at least 3x thicker. If you just need something to get the job done, this is probably fine. If you make a living from a soldering iron or need high quality, go with a reputable brand.

You will receive 20 soldering sponges that fit into normal soldering iron holders. They are square in shape and can be easily trimmed to fit your biscuit tray. For the price of a set you are prepared for a long time. They clean the iron just as well as branded sponges and have held up very well so far. Highly recommended.
