Description of Uxcell Rubber Round Thread Protectors

【7mm INNER DIA】 Round end cap cover fits 7mm dia round tube or screw or pipe. 【GOOD PROTECTOR】Our flexible end caps prevent scuffs on kitchen or wood floor, for metal chair tips, furniture, chair feet, table legs or tips, screw thread, nail heads, or to cover any round tubing. 【FLEXIBLE VINYL MATERIAL】 Thread protector cover is made of vinyl rubber material, flexible and insulated. 【SIZE SELECTION】Because rubber material is soft and elastic, we recommend choosing rubber end cap that is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the product to be protected. For example: the outer diameter of your product is 9.8mm dia, choose the rubber cover of 9.5mm!. 【WIDELY APPLICATION】 Perfect for covering screws or other threaded parts, round tubing, furniture feet and so on.

Garmin Striker Fish Finder

Perfectly matches the lead ends of my Garmin Striker 4 Plus CV Fish Finder. Sits lower and tighter than the covers included in the kit. Inexpensive for a pack of 50 and I'm not afraid of losing them.

Pros
  • Bonded Fasteners
Cons
  • Available in White Only

Sloppy (copy) cap! on screws in a column

Want to use these really nicely made BRIGHT RED screw protectors on your US 1/2-13 screws? What a pity! The bright red color is great, the red material is tight, the fit isn't great! They hold up very well if you put a tiny drop of silicone in the cap before putting them on, but - not really an idea - right? sorry kids!

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Another non-standard use is flashlight tripod leg bumper legs

This is for kitchen table jewelers. Tripods sold for soldering jewelry always seem to come with brass or steel rod legs cut perpendicular to the length so the ends are sharp. Not that you want to slide across the kitchen table. If you have the tools and time to sand them smooth, great, but if not, these thread savers are what you need: they fit snugly on the ends of the rods, won't come loose, and they're soft. just enough so they don't leave a mark on your desk. And if you unscrew the tripod…

Pros
  • Tape screws
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
