Controls and indicators do not have an OFF button

Please note this switch does not have an OFF button. It's on one side and the other, it doesn't have the usual middle OFF position.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Easy to connect robust switch

I used this switch to connect two audio sources to a powered subwoofer. I made a nice wooden box for the switch. Large screw terminals facilitated wiring with compression fittings. Nice positive feeling when using the switch and only two positions (on and on) with no middle "off" position was good for my application.

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • No automatic control

The resistance at the switch is not good.

Got this for the dual amp/speaker switch. The switch looks good and is easy to connect with small ring lugs. Since I was using it to switch between speakers I decided to check the resistance values between all poles for both strokes. The switch should have very little resistance between the contacts. The resistance of this switch ranged from 1.5 to 28 ohms! This was unacceptable as it increased the load on the speakers. I took the switch apart and scraped all the contacts to give them a good…

Pros
  • High test scores for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
