Based on my experience, these anti-dust stoppers are a lifesaver for my audio and video accessories. The silicone material fits snugly into the ports, keeping out dirt and debris. These micro USB plugs are sold as dust covers and I'm sure they will work fine. I was hoping that the plugs would prevent moisture from entering the port to prevent damage to the device. They don't work for this, I quickly found out, so I went back to cover the ports on my MP3 player, which I listen to at work, with duct tape.
