Very easy to assemble. I've read a couple of reviews here saying it wasn't assembled properly and the lamp was tipping over so I'd like to say I thought the same thing at first but then I found this part of this lamp that looks like you press it easy together, there is actually stripping and you have to screw it together. It was really easy. And it still looks great.

I don't know why I spent $41 on this! The cover was warped and had numerous scratches. The light was off-center and too bright at eye level, making it difficult to see even from the side. The base and stand are made of plastic, not metal. The cable lever was pinched and difficult to pull to turn the light on, causing the lamp to almost tip over. Maybe it's not my luck. The lamp without defects looks really very nice.

As previous reviewers have pointed out, the glass itself is too transparent to put on a table as it lets in too much light at eye level, which is annoying. I tried a 25 watt bulb but I didn't notice much of a difference. In the end, I decided that instead of paying the shipping cost, I'd try a small DIY Krylon Sea Glass Amber aerosol can for $7. I only painted the underside of the lampshade. Problem solved, looks great! (see photo)

I LOVE this lamp! This is exactly what I was looking for in terms of style and the green color is perfect for my office! Like some other buyers, I also see that the bulb only seems to glow on one side, but there's nothing you can do about it unless they want to redesign it to include a center bracket with two bulbs on each side. You need to assemble and wonder how the twisted cord looks a little kinked afterward. As easy as adjustment may be, the position of the bulb socket will cause the center of light to be off-center by at least 1.5 inches when the CFL or standard bulb is on. That worries me the most. I like this is a simple old school mechanical switch that works great with my moving head that I connected to an extension cord for my table lamp years ago. This lamp was delivered as described in the description and in the picture, did not break and was easy to assemble. It has a very nice antique look, but like most counterfeits, when you look at it, it doesn't stand up to comparison with real objects. All the details and painting are well done and look beautiful.
