Finding a corkscrew for a waiter WITH A CURVED FOIL CUTTER is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I've been a bartender for many years (mainly restaurants sell a fair amount of wine) and a curved foil cutter makes a world of difference. The hinge mechanism is a bit stiff, but eventually it opens easier with lubrication.

The best corkscrew I have ever had. Heavy, intensive use at three restaurants and a country club. I think it took a few years, at least until I dropped it too many times (dropped it a lot). The foil cutter is curved and serrated. The foil is easy to cut every time. The corkscrew itself is long enough for Italian wine corks, and the double-hinged mechanism provides plenty of leverage and won't break bottlenecks. It has a beautiful, durable design.

After seeing pictures of the new VacuVin waiter's corkscrew, I was keen to buy it for myself and sell it in my liquor store. After having a chance to evaluate it, I found it to be weak competition for even a standard Pulltap corkscrew. Both have articulated arms, lid lifters and foil cutters. The VacuVin lever is chunky and requires a lot of finesse to hold it on the neck of the bottle. The lid lifter is the same as the pulltap. While I find it more ergonomic to have the foil cutter on the same
