What's the catch - We can't return this item - My husband travels a lot and we tune our 5th wheel. I ordered this for my husband to wear. our rig is BUT leaking - says we can't go back. I feel my money is due as it is a LEAK. What now, raven? I can't explain this over the phone but I love Revain BUT I don't like not being able to get a refund. Diana K

Scrap. I bought this in April because I was restoring my RV and gathering all my supplies. This is one of the many things I need. even got the first bet from him. Even if it hadn't broken out of the box, there's no way it would have withstood the weight of the water hose and the pressure because the brass is so thin where it holds the connection. Stay away from Valterra parts.

Looks great and works great. I was actually in Lowes and found a similar item without the plastic female screw and they were two packed in a bag for about the same price as this one and both are heavier brass. However, Lowes didn't have a mesh inlet and was packaged as a washing machine adapter. Not sure which I like better as both work, but they're easy to find, found out at Lowes anyway, and they just aren't labeled for wheeled use.

Fitted this morning. Valterra 45 attached to the Valterra cover does not fit. The same manufacturer is not suitable for its products. Also, there is a small constant leak. The second Valterra product I have bought. Dissatisfied with the way this company makes products. Cheaply made, poor engineering and everything flows from this company. I just bought an RV East dump valve from this company. I think I should expect a leak there too. Will have to look for another company, maybe Camco.

Although it has no actual pressure reducing function, the quality of the seal and the absolute security allowed me to fit it to my faucet and use a 4 hose splitter which I had not previously could use. The splitter leaks around the gasket even with tape as I have very high water pressure (100+ psi). In doing so it takes care of the initial pressure and provides some reduction so I can now attach the splitter! Overall really well made and works for what I need. It feels like it's going to last…

I used this with the Valterra Carefree flushing system to make a sharp right turn from the side of the tank to the side of the trailer. This facilitates the kink-free installation of the hose. I've added a quick link to this and the page of a trailer that I leave in the summer and then easily remove to store for the winter.
