Valterra A10 3348VP Black Rotating Register Review

I have a 35,000 BTU convection oven in my RV. I wanted to replace the thermal registers as they were showing their age. I bought three of these Valterra A10-3346VP tan registers with rotary heater and air conditioning (4 inch). They worked great on the two longer routes. Unfortunately, one of the registers is within 12 inches of the oven. When the oven is running, there is a smell of melting plastic (actually, plastic doesn't melt).
