my thoughts on this RevainBasics 23 " Top Loading 2 Door Pet Kennel

well done but I've read reviews that the top door opens after pets are put in, my cats are 14.5 and 13 lbs. It wouldn't open and the latch didn't quite open and I was still nervous as my cats were never outside except on the closed porch so I didn't want to risk it open so I added a strap added with metal hook attached to the stretcher as space was added for one, then put my cats back in and felt more secure

Frustrating and dangerous

I had the same experience as all the other one star reviewers saying the top door wasn't secure. I used this to take my small, elderly, 9 lb cat to the vet and the mechanisms holding the top kept going into a vertical (unsafe) position when I used the top handle and the plastic shifted bent under the weight of the wearer. I was so afraid that the top would come off and my cat would fall off and run away that I ended up dragging the carrier like a box. If you're looking for a durable and…

Spend the extra $$$ on a much better product

I have sent the stretcher back. It consists of two parts - top and bottom. You have to twist it together - which isn't usually a problem. However, due to the way the plastic comb was made, the nuts could not reach the bottom of the bolts. There just wasn't room to put nuts on bolts! I gave up and returned it and got a slightly more expensive medium that wasn't that difficult to assemble. I ended up buying a Petmate Two Door Top Load which was only about $10 on a storage contract and was well…

Great Buy: Hard Wall Carrier

I am taking my cat tomorrow so I bought this carrier to take home and use as a bed. I wasn't sure what size to go for, but based on other reviews I went with 23 inches. I'm glad I did, I think it's the perfect size for a cat to stretch out and sleep. pillow. I wasn't sure what size to go for, but the 22" fits perfectly. I read a review where someone said you need needle nose pliers to hold the nut while you screw it in. This may have once been the case but as you can see in the photo the slot…

NOT SAFE FOR ANIMALS WEIGHT 10 lbS OR MORE. TOP PANEL RELEASES!

I have used this medium 3 times. Twice when my cat was a tiny kitten (under 4lbs) and once today when she was 10.4lbs as an adult. My experience with this carrier was good when my cat was little, but now that she is heavier I have a BIG issue. The two latches securing the top door popped open (pulled out through a hole in the plastic - yes, they locked before lifting) and released the entire top panel when carried by the carry handle. Not once, but twice! I'm very fortunate to have a very calm…

Well made and great price! Update

I bought 2 of these. I stand by my original review here: Great transport box for the price. I hesitated after some bad reviews but took a chance anyway. I'm glad I did. Assembly is not difficult if common sense is in place. No need for instructions. The hardest part is assembling the door. Join the top and bottom of the drawer on one side while inserting the fixed door rods into the holes. Then push the door handle to retract these bars and close the door. The space at the top and bottom of the

Dangerous tip and short lifespan

Before my cat was diagnosed with FLUTD this week I have used this carrier a total of 2 times since buying it in 2017. After this week I have used it 3 times. What bothers me the most is the tip. If you haven't already, watch the video first. You can see there are 2 latches at the top you need to "twist up" to face you and then pull towards you until the top comes loose. The two tabs, which should be facing you, should not come out of their respective placement holes without making physical…

Very easy to use even with difficult cats

I have four rescued cats who are afraid of being caged. They are very difficult to load into a carrier to go to the vet and will sometimes wallow in the carrier in terror. This is the best carrier I have found for her. It's very durable and doesn't stain my car seat. The top door stays open so I can pick the cat up, quickly carry it to where the van was out of sight, and drop it before it realizes what's going on. After that, the door just closes and locks without losing the cat or hurting me…

Sturdy, easy to assemble, the cat loves it!

I received this to replace an old padded carrier that my cat almost outgrew. I wanted something sturdier, with more room for them inside, especially to be able to take them on longer car trips. This holder is easy to assemble and comes with additional bolts and nuts for those who want a more secure construction. They're not really needed, however, as the four clips on the sides seem to have a good, strong hold and snap securely into place once installed. This allows you to easily disassemble…
