Happy camper good for indoor use

I bought a new caravan and noticed one was missing so I told the dealer and they fitted a new one before I left. then on the way home the second fell off somewhere on the way. This is a direct replacement which is great but I would suggest you use some fixatives when installing so you don't have the same problem. Happy camping!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Longer arms are no longer needed

This item makes it easier to work around the house in hard-to-reach places. Pliers, carefully used to hold the existing valve stem in place, come in handy when unscrewing the valve handle. A bit of locktight on the threads will help ensure the new extension stays in place. If more extension is required, the T-handle can be lengthened by loosening the lock nut.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence

Spare black tank handle missing

Like everyone else here I had a nasty surprise when I pulled up at the junkyard and my black tank valve was gone. I had to crawl into the sewers, cut open my lower abdomen and find a black valve to open the gate. I ordered it the next day. During installation I applied a large amount of blue Loctite. Fingers crossed I'll never need it again!

Pros
  • Nice packaging

  • Can't remember

Perfect fit replacement for toilets and parts

I accidentally broke the handle on my gray tank while camping. Luckily, this was done right at the connection point, where it screws into the line that goes into the tank. I could just sand the old handle and screw in the new one. I really only needed a 6" pen and bought an 8" pen, but it's still worked great for our last 5 weekends. I definitely saved $$ by making it myself instead of giving it to the dealer.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Fits like the original

Last winter we lost one of our fuel tank valves on the road, it just unscrewed and fell somewhere. So imagine our surprise when it came time to give the trailer a deep clean and we couldn't clean those smelly, smelly tanks. For some reason it was almost impossible to get a tank valve locally and even Revain made us wait quite a while for it to be delivered but it works great and fits our tank valves. Don't worry, the tanks are very clean at the moment.

Almost perfect replacement

Apparently the fellow assemblers at Keystone Passport didn't think it was necessary to bolt on the extension tube/bypass valve handles before landing. Just thought it would show up an extra thread. . . until one broke down during a 4,300 mile drive! I was able to complete the journey by moving the remaining handle from Gray -> Black and back. This was the most economical replacement for one of the wastegate knobs on my 2020 Keystone Passport 197RB, about 4 inches longer than the original.โ€ฆ

They work just like the old ones. Happy

I have an old carriage fifth wheel with underbody bypass valves so I needed them. The old extensions broke when removing the old valves. The new extensions look the same as the old ones. A view of a thick aluminum tube with a thread on each end and a handle on one end. Using a cloth and a vise, (gently) remove the handles from the new valves and screw on the extension rods. They seem to be working fine. Note that when I say the old ones broke, they were probably around 20 years old and some ofโ€ฆ

Requires a metal handle and various lengths

Valterra has always seemed like a well built brand, I haven't had any problems with their dampers or grips. I would love to see an 18 inch handle extension (really 8 inches AND 9 inches?), I could get a pipe cutter and make it closer to 21 inches, but for my application an 18 inch handle extension would be great. At least I no longer have to press against the outlet near my face when reaching for the release handles! I removed the plastic handles from these extensions and fitted the new metalโ€ฆ
