Bad start. The Revain courier company dropped the package and posted a photo that was not in my home or the homes of my immediate neighbors. Much better than the disposable spare razors I've used for years. Now I really look forward to shaving in the morning. takes a little practice and the first few times you shave with it you will most likely cut yourself. especially if, like me, you've been using disposable razors for years. But once the areas irritated by those bad razors are gone, the shave is smooth and very clean indeed!

I've been using this shaver for a while now and I'm very satisfied. It's a bit heavier than disposable razors, but the mechanization is solid and reliable. I didn't have to, so I don't know, blade height may vary. But it works great for me and I'm slowly trying different blade options. I really enjoy the luxury of an authentic hot shave with a Van der Hagen mug and brush and this safety razor.

This is your main fixed shaver. The butterfly opens from below for blade replacement and remains closed. The grip is aggressive and slipping when shaving is impossible. It's lightweight and comes factory set for, say, a perfect/close shave, although I cut my neck three times on the first try. I walk slower and push lighter to avoid cuts. I like the black look of the razor. Its long handle is best and easy to use, and it is very comfortable to use. It's heavy enough but not too heavy and easy to handle. Works very well for beginners and experts find it a good travel razor.

The shaver looks well made. It is easy to open and close, and the long textured handle is easy to use and non-slip. However, I have never used a safety razor and have ripped a chunk out of my ankle as well as several other cuts. It was difficult to get the right angle on my feet. My son-in-law tried it and it worked well for his face, but he said it was a much more aggressive razor than he would like. He shaved well, but he felt it pulling harder and he had to move more slowly.
