👔 Van Heusen Short Sleeve Dress Shirt Review

My biggest criticism of this shirt is that it is too big. Not much, I would say around 2 sizes provided the shirt is labeled correctly. I bought 17 1/2 which is XL and the 17 1/2 I bought is larger than 2XL. I know this because I used to be heavier and have 2XL shirts to compare. I would buy this shirt again but I don't know what size to take. So for the odd size I would say minus two stars. This is quite a significant deviation from the sizes you will see in store.

Any 19" shirt you buy will run oversized. The shirt is actually 3xl. I needed a military style shirt for a VFW post so got it I only paid for a makeover.$47.Well.

In these shirts I work as a conductor at the railway. Overall a good shirt. Although the stitching throughout the shirt could be greatly improved. Pockets tear very easily. 2 out of 10 shirts I buy have torn pockets. Firstly, a small part of the top right pocket is coming loose (don't know why) and secondly, I brushed some crumbs off my shirt and got caught on the pocket and it ripped on one side. I use this for military events (MCL) I don't know why the short sleeve has a sewn on band but still works perfectly, great fit.

Absolutely Big. Always bought Van Heusen shirts in size 15.5. decided to try a slightly more expensive van Heusen to improve the quality. Same size 15.5 but it's awfully big. Not only has the price gone up, I think Van Heusen's supply chain has also shot up

Two bought for spare shirts Pockets, chest pockets/flaps sit about the time you put on your belt and pants. The shirt looks like you're pulling it down and is vertically long because the chest pockets/flaps are low. (Pencil line compared to standard pocket shirts) Failed purchase with initially possible return. I wouldn't recommend it if you use pockets and want a "clean look".

The pockets are much lower on the chest than any other pilot shirt I have ever worn. The top of the nipple pouch. I'm 6ft 1in and a bit skinny.
