Extremely well built.

I bought this monopod to use primarily for shooting moving subjects with a large lens. It lasts and is a great product for the price.

Pros
  • Attractive hard wearing Charcoal finish for great looks (4 sections, 23mm shaft)
Cons
  • Quality

lightweight, good-looking monopod

The monopod itself looks and feels good, but the underside feels wobbly to and does not feel fully stretched solid. This is my first monopod, can't tell how it differs from other brands. Love it, just wish it was a little firmer.

Pros
  • Attach camera to a ¼"-20 threaded mount or easily mount small ball heads or compact video heads
Cons
  • Unnecessary features

4 sections were a problem

I like the Vanquard and will buy it in the future but I found it a little unstable with all 4 sections extended. The connection between the 3rd and 4th leg will "buckle". Used on a trip put it aside and bought a 3 leg extension model (much more durable). My camera/lens weighs 11 pounds so that might be the deciding factor.

Pros
  • Product Specifications: Folded Length: 20.25 inches, Unfolded Height: 59.4 inches, Weight: 0.85 pounds. Max Load: up to 11 lbs
Cons
  • Shortcomings

Lightweight and very reliable!

I have used this monopod for outdoor shooting. Very easy to pack in a backpack, very light weight and the handle/belt makes it easy to hold. I used medium format film and a digital camera with a monopod without an adapter. Very easy to adjust the height. I would recommend this monopod to anyone who does outdoor photography.

Pros
  • Improved pivoting leg locks with 1/2" pivot lock/unlock system and non-slip rubber foot
Cons
  • Reliability

Photos are misleading. However, this is a good monopod.

Photos are misleading. So far I really like this monopod. The only complaint I have is that the photos on the listing clearly show the monopod with no legs leading you to think they are detachable, but they are not. One of the reasons I chose this one is the option to remove the legs, so it's disappointing. Someone asked about them in the questions section and the answer was that they are not removable. However, I didn't think to ask or reconsider the questions when the photos show it so…

Pros
  • Supplied with wrist strap, carabiner, protective rubber shipping cap for ¼"-20 mounting screw and small Allen key
Cons
  • Some errors
