I bought these shoes for my two children who are 10 and 5 years old. I had to go a half size up for my 10 year old but my little guy's normal size fit just fine. I also bought a pair for myself and went up a half size and they were too big (I have a narrow foot). If you're in between sizes and have a wider foot I would recommend one piece. If you have a narrow foot, your normal size will fit.

Such a cute shoe! My seven year old daughter wears size 13.5 street shoes. I ordered size 13.5. Unfortunately she couldn't get her foot in the shoe (she has a wide foot with a high arch). The seller has agreed to return the goods. I changed the shoes to a size 1 but honestly I could have gone for a size 1.5 to give a little more room to grow. My girlfriend loves her vans! Since it's not canvas, it also cleans well.
