Unused USB ports in computer components

I found that this KVM lacks the basic functionality - switching not only for a VGA monitor but also for a USB mouse and keyboard (at least 2 out of 3 USB ports). Actually, I could only see one USB port (on Win 10), so either keyboard and monitor or mouse and monitor is supported, but not both. So it looks like a non-starter to me.

Requires USB power

available I can confirm that VGA switching works fine for Windows 10 and Linux (Ubuntu 20.04). The button toggles monitor/computer combinations quickly, with no more than a blink delay, so it's great. However, I couldn't get USB switching to work for both, so be careful if you really want USB to work. Connect it to a USB hub that does not provide power. You must connect the USB port either directly to a computer or to an AC powered USB charger just for VGA switching to work. Initially I had an…

Great for my needs

I am currently using Windows 7 on one computer and Linux MX on another. Now the monitor is connected via VGA. These switches are easy to find. I've tested switching with a 1GB flash drive and computers - many ran fine. Not much delay if I could see.
