Great Addition to Boost Computer Functionality

Using this product, our team found that it boosted our computer's functionality significantly. We were pleased with the ease of installation and the device's excellent performance, which helped us handle both parallel and serial data smoothly. The extra ports allowed us to connect additional peripherals, which made our work much more efficient. However, the device's price may be considered high for some, but in our experience, it was worth the investment to improve our computer's performance…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Requires an available PCI slot in your computer

Poor manufacturing - board or components shorted out

After installation, I found that the wires were not fully soldered during the manufacturing process; several strands of wire were not fully soldered to the pole and touched another pole. Luckily this didn't damage the computer as there was a short in the communication lines. If you're good with a soldering iron this can be fixed as sending it back can be more hassle than it's worth.

Pros
  • Adding an IEEE 1284 parallel port to the system
Cons
  • Style 90

Works great for connecting some older printers

I have used this card to connect some old POS printers to new equipment. The drivers worked fine on Win 7 32 and 64 bit computers.

Pros
  • Supports 2 serial UART ports
Cons
  • Minor issues
