I would really like to give this product a higher rating. The product itself is ok. It serves its purpose as intended. The suction power is also much stronger than I remembered from my old N2 GPS receiver. However, my biggest issue with this product was that according to Ventroux, who I contacted regarding this, the model shown in the photos accompanying this review is an *older model* than advertised. I bought this module with my N4 dashcam. It works exactly as expected. It annotates the video with the current GPS coordinates for each step of the movement, as well as the current speed. It's very easy to use. The dash cam slides like a normal mount. At $21 and the change it's worth, this is definitely a budget accessory. If you ever need this for legal purposes it would be nice to have the additional location information it provides and it includes proof of your speed during an accident. It…

We have 3 Vantrue N4 DVRs. People on the road can be unpredictable when driving, they can lie to companies on any basis you may not have covered should you get into an accident. I bought these GPS mounts in case something happens. When you use the Vantrue player on a computer, it shows you how fast you went (if someone lies and says you're going 78mph in a 35mph zone and hits them, you can do the opposite prove). I just bought an N4 camera and was looking to buy a GPS receiver. The N4 camera pack was brand new and the camera is in pristine condition. There are no problems with the camera at all. The GPS receiver, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired in terms of packaging and condition. The GPS receiver was packaged in a typical white Revain bubble bag.
