M14 x 1.5 Type C Installed in place of the plug on top of the block on the #1 cylinder water jacket and now my analog gauge shows the temperature.

This sensor was a little patchy. The product looks new but was not in OEM VDO packaging. I wonder if this is a fake. ? hmm? Let's see how long this lasts

Works great! Check your application, if it fits you can't go wrong. Comes with a copper disc which is great. Just heat it with a burner when you need to reuse it. Or buy a new one if you don't download it that way. Works perfectly.

Used on a MINI R53 with an optional oil temp gauge. This sensor is installed in place of the oil pan drain plug. Because I use a vacuum oil pump, this sensor is not disturbed, which could damage it during a scheduled oil change. The transmitter itself works as expected and sends the temperature to the sensor.
