This product is advertised as Velcro which can be sewn on or glued on. While it may serve as a product sticker, it is by no means a sew-on product. He ripped the needle out of the shaft of my scope. I tried to finish the work by hand but the glue made it impossible to sew. Do not purchase this product if you plan to sew Velcro.

I used this to make a very heavy curtain (4 layers!) and it worked! One part is well glued to the windowsill and the other is easy to sew to the fabric. This is a very strong attachment, but I worry that if I continue to remove and pull up the curtain, I might end up tearing off a piece on the windowsill!

Just to clarify, one side of this Velcro is sewn to the fabric and the connecting side is glued. The two sides already come separately in the box, so it's easy to use. It was just what I needed for a table skirt. The non-stick side was very easy to sew on my sewing machine, and I'm certainly no seamstress. I couldn't find any alternatives or generic version of it. Most other Velcro straps I've found either peel and stick both sides, or require both sides to be sewn on.

It's amazing how seriously Velcro take their work and easily make different products for different purposes. I used this product to make roman blinds for my home. The "soft" side has no glue, it is sewn to the fabric and can be washed if necessary, the "hard" side is glued to a wooden strip in my window opening. If I had to use a different product, either without glue or with glue on both sides, it would make my life that much harder. The glue sticks pretty well, depending on the surface…
