These brackets are easy to install. Note that you will need both hands to open the side windows as the supports keep the windows closed and open wider than the originals. Feels stronger but not so strong that they can shatter windows.

For my application I chose the size closest to what I was replacing. The size photo helps a lot. They were 1 inch longer but shorter when compressed. It took a little effort to remove the length to fit the ball studs due to length but did exactly what was needed to keep my Cadet GT1554's hood up all the time. I bought these to replace shock absorbers on an old steel truck tool box. One side has collapsed completely, including a protruding bar. I bought a set thinking I'd replace both, wore one side and never looked back. Even if the other side is raw and weakened, I never notice it. Great products for the money. All the necessary fasteners are in there, plus something else. Basically, I have an extra one in case someone else starts crying.
