Very well assembled Computer and accessories

Well ventilated. Good looking product. Connected to my dish network wall. Turns Walley into a 2-channel DVR. With 2TB I had enough space to record whatever I want. saved me money Great product, yes I am a Verbatim fan. I will buy more if needed. I've been using this for over a year.

Minor error after 1 year - no response from Verbatim on RMA

. Attempts to contact Verbatim regarding the 7 year warranty have been unsuccessful - they ask you to fill out an RMA which they never answer. Not worth buying as it will take your data with it when it dies. As an IT engineer, I know how to take care of and repair a drive, and that's a simple case of component failure.

It could be better.

So this is a new design of the Verbatim hard drive. I think this is a step BACK compared to previous models. Previous models had an aluminum frame, while the new construction is made of plastic. Previous models had rubber feet at the bottom, while the new design has no feet at all. The USB cable is still very short, and the length of the power adapter cable has also become shorter. Good thing it still uses the same 12V 1.5A adapter as previous models so I can use these instead. Fortunately, a…

IMO Verbatim needs to rethink this bad design and restore the front power LED and.

Older Verbatim portable hard drives have a power indicator on the front of the case. This 3TB SNS device doesn't work - it's very inconvenient to get up and go to the back of the device to see if it's powered off. Also, the tiny power button is finicky and not very convenient to turn on and off, unlike previous models with a rocker switch or tactile button. Also, when you use the green button shutdown utility, the device turns off, but when the PC restarts, the device turns on again. The only…

Good unit! - External hard drives

First installation: The device did not start. I've tried a few power transformers, switched the one on out of the box, no luck. The LED on the front panel did not light up. The computer didn't recognize it. Contacted the manufacturer directly and they were told to buy another power converter. That's exactly what I did. Vain. I asked Revain for a replacement.
