Read the instructions on the back of the board

Read the back of the board. It will prompt you to download the driver. Then you can simply flash the chip with a Tasmotizer. so much fun solving some home automation problems

Pros
  • Easy Setup
Cons
  • Security

Excellent platform for remote sensing and home automation

Super affordable Wi-Fi MCU that's as easy to use as a serial port. Includes TCP/IP stacks. Can upload recorded data to remote server. I've used mine with an air quality sensor and a moderate humidity sensor.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Nothing

Ideal working machines!

I have many different ones but mostly I have version 340 and I prefer this version CP2102. It was a bargain price but each one works great! Very important! PS A lot of people seem to forget that these things work great at both 160MHz and 80! Continue. Who needs Pico? They hit them down with their hands!

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Amazing little microcontroller.

This is my first ESP8266. I've done many things with Arduino and x86 hardware. For this first project it worked very well. It was fairly easy to set up the Arduino IDE to work with it and tie the OLED display, sensors and network together. I will buy more. It will probably be more useful to me than my Arduino. At least I can put them all online so I don't have to sit in front of her to get feedback.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • some problems

Awesome little development board

I find this works out of the box with Linux, especially a Raspian distro on a Raspberry Pi 4 desktop with the Arduino IDE set up, even though I've flashed the firmware with it recommended settings in the description on my 64-bit Windows 10 machine at some point. I have no problems connecting to Wi-Fi, checking the NTP pool server, reading data from my hardware sensors and printing to the dot matrix display. Awesome little board for developers, order more for other projects!

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Upgradable
