Has been working flawlessly for 6 months.

I operate high-tech electronics without any problems. Tower computer with 750 watt 8 GB RAM 3 GHz processor, Hp Laserjet 130n, 1500 watt microwave, large vacuum cleaner. two-door refrigerator. 2 laptops, TV, Blueray. I can't think of anything else to test this 3000 watt pure sine wave inverter. My 6 gallon air compressor put the inverter in an error state. I had to try.

  • Handsfree

Very low realism

Worked well for the first three months. Then it fails. It seems to work, but when even a small load (less than 100W) is connected, it stops working. However, no indication that the exit is dead. I'm so sad. Lost $170. The device was running for about 1000 hours before the first catastrophic problem. I also don't like that it takes a few seconds for the inverter to get 118V. I use it in a solar system. I do not recommend buying it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some minor things

DOES NOT include the correct cords and fuses for the 3000w model

Works fine BUT the seller only included 1/0 cords and a 200A fuse even though the instruction manual that came with it is AT LEAST 3 /0 wire and a 250A fuse for 3000 watts of power. The seller must include 3/0 (or even better 4/0) wires. I had to buy large wires separately; Very expensive. This is not just a minor issue, it is a SAFETY issue as the wrong wire size (and fuse) can cause a FIRE!

Pros
  • Trial version for one year
Cons
  • Small parts

Works well! at Tools & Equipment

I bought this as a backup for an inverter I was using to power a small freezer during a public safety power outage. After sitting on the shelf for almost a year we decided to hook it up to solar panels to power a 1.5hp pump that pressurizes our home water system. Since we have our own well, we lose running water when the electricity goes out. It worked perfectly. Because it worked so well on a test basis, we decided to keep the internet off permanently for this feature.

Blindside - Starters, Chargers & Portable Power Supplies

I received this inverter recently and found some nasty surprises in the instruction manual. Page 6 says "IMPORTANT: Use a minimum of 2 AWG wire with a maximum of 4 feet of wire." on the topic of battery cables. But the included battery cables are 4 AWG (smaller). The inverter has vents on the bottom and page 5 states that 6 inches of clearance is required under the inverter. So you can't just put it on the floor. You need to find a way to keep it 6 inches off the ground. This isn't the kind of…

Pros
  • Good product for the price

Previously impeccable in jump starters, chargers and portable power supplies

I bought this inverter to install in my small home in Winnebago. Although I usually camp in places with electricity, I had planned a trip to Ocracoke Island where the campgrounds don't have electricity. I had to run my CPAP, light and a few other 110v devices. During the day I kept the RV's battery charged with solar panels. I chose not to connect the inverter to my RV's existing 110-volt electrical system and installed a custom switched outlet instead. This inverter has served its purpose. It…

Fault lite lights up even at low loads!

I am a trained solar generator builder. I've built many systems and got great results. I bought this lightweight 500 watt pure sine wave inverter for small loads in a truck trailer to charge Dewalt batteries, run a coffee grinder and use a laptop. It will only charge a 20V Dewalt battery from its charger and if you connect anything else the inverter will shut down and report ERROR. I even increased the thickness of the cable that runs just 3 feet to a heavy duty deep cycle battery. The cable…

Works out of the box as promised.

I can't say anything about the resistance to stress over a long period of time. It passed my limited stress test. 1000W peak power is a joke, but aren't they all in this price range? I like that the fan starts and runs for a few seconds when the inverters are on. Lets you know it's working. I would only use this little inverter in an emergency and for that purpose it should be fine. If I had relied on it every day, I would have bought a much higher quality device. you know who it is Test: I…

Pros
  • 1 year warranty. Rugged design features thermal shutdown, reverse polarity protection with internal fuses, short circuit protection, overvoltage protection, undervoltage lockout, and under/overvoltage alarms.
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
