Using Code Manager is an amazing transformation

The best thing about this tool it's ease in use by all developers which they can easily learn how to operate it within minutes without needing much training or support staff. It has been easy for our team as we are newbies when using configuration management tools but I guess that if you already have experience with other CM products like TFS then there will be no big difference because everything else seems similar. None really! Just try out different approaches and see what works better for…

Pros
  • Easy interface, great visualizations (especially during planning sessions), good integration options between Visual Studio Team Services builds
  • Microsoft Build Tools 2015 & Jenkins CI server
  • PowerShell scripting capabilities etc.
  • Good documentation available online from MSFT website along most recent updates released at least twice per year through blog posts suchas https://blogs.msdn.microsoft
Cons
  • Will fit

Easy sharing & controlling over remote projects

The best thing about vesta is that it supports both centralized as well as decentralized version control. I can access my source code files anywhere in the world with just one account. There are no limitations on file sizes or amount of project files you can have. It's not easy to use for newbies. It takes some time before they get used to its complexity. If you are looking for a free distributed version control tool with support for multiple programming languages then this software is your…

Pros
  • Support all major operating systems including Linux/Unix platforms like Ubuntu OS etc..It has an option called "Team" which allows users working from different locations (home / office) but under same team memberships be able collaborate seamlessly across them by sharing their changes via email notification.Thereby eliminating needless re download
Cons
  • There are nuances

I like that it's easy to use, and that the software is fairly intuitive. It's a very powerful tool, and there's a lot of features. I don't like that it's so costly. I would compare it to other open source configuration management systems, such as Fisheye. I would recommend Vesta to anyone who needs a powerful configuration management system. I use it to manage our configuration files for our company. It's a very powerful tool, but it's expensive. We have been able to use it to manage our…
