🍕 Vesuvio Pizza Accelerator Ring: Whip up a Delicious Pizza in Just 90 Seconds in Your Home Oven Review

When it arrived we thought it couldn't make much of a difference but it did! Our homemade pizza is now as close as possible to cooking in a pizza oven! The crust comes out crispy yet chewy and we love that we can use organic ingredients instead of eating a crappy pizza from a pizza place! It takes a little practice and the key to success is preheating in the oven.

I never managed to make a pizza like this at home. It must be the heat concentration. The pizzas cook so quickly and the crust is air filled and caramelized cheese. Who comes up with these things? The only part to remember is making sure the oven rack is as close to the roasting pan as possible without touching the accelerator. I also left the pizza stone under the roasting pan for about 15 minutes after the oven was hot. The bottom of the crust is no longer loose. Bellissimo Vesuvius!

No kidding. He made my pizza in about 2 minutes. In fact, I digested it to my liking on the first try. The second time I left the ring around the pizza until I saw the crust just starting to brown (about 60 seconds) and then peeled it off. This allowed the cheese to melt and caramelize more before the rind turned too black. You just have to get used to opening the oven and pulling out the rack to check the progress as you can't see your pizza on the ring from the oven window. Brilliant!

It worked better than I expected! I make a lot of pizza at home with a pizza stone. I wish I had a brick oven to make more authentic pizza. This happens in the next second. With Vesuvio you can reach a temperature similar to that of an outdoor stone oven. You get good "cotton" with a crust that leaves a lot of air pockets (bubbles). The crust was crispy on the outside, softer and chewy on the inside. Perfect and delicious! I can't wait to use it again!

I use a 3/8 inch round pizza steel for this pizza ring. Sufficiently preheated, it does a pretty excellent job. You can brown/blacken the edge crust quite a bit in a few minutes. The ring itself is very thin and immediately loses its shape. It's a little tricky to line up and round off, and it will never go back to its original wrapped packaging. They provide a piece of wood that you can wrap it around for storage. I use the binding clips that come with the kit to determine the size. Keyrings…
