poor picture quality, low resolution

I ordered this because I got a new graphics card that had the HDMI ports far apart so I couldn't fit the old adapter next to the cable for my second monitor . When the monitor RECEIVED the signal, the resolution was weird (and the only one available), the quality was terrible, the text was barely legible (not completely blurry, rather not all pixels were drawn) and the colors were VERY wrong. And yes, I tried the old adapter and monitor with my new graphics card and everything was fine with the

4 stars Computers & Accessories

My computer had 1 VGA, 1 HDMI, I could not expand the screens because the HDMI splitter only showed me the same screen on my two monitors. So I decided to buy this cable to see if it would work for the screen extension. To my surprise this happened, now I have an extended screen. The quality is excellent, the picture is clear. I can't ask for anything other than buying a graphics card, that solved my problem

Item in good condition - no instructions

KVM switch, which only has a VGA output and my new monitor. When I received the package I opened it to find the cable. Period. I connected everything but there was no video on my monitor. I turned the computer off and on again. Still not good. After that I decided to connect the USB portion of the cable to the KVM. Bingo! I had a video! It turns out that the USB needs to power the adapter cable for it to work. Simple instructions in the packaging would be nice! Now that everything is connected…

I've tried several adapter cables in the past and mostly thrown them away. This one was a winner in more ways than one. First, the required converter is supplied with power via the USB connection. Second, the sound and picture quality has greatly improved compared to the previous versions of the adapters I've tried.
