As others have said, buy one size larger.

This is my second pair of Insulated Trek Ascents. I could walk in them all winter (I change shoes) and wear them when I go for walks. I put on a pair of Injinji socks when the temperature drops to around -5C and I haven't had much of a problem. Aside from stepping on despicable puddles, any dampness/wetness I experienced was due to my feet sweating (approximately) while running. Grip wasn't a problem for me, definitely better than normal boots/boots. My feet still enjoy the benefits of being…

Pros
  • Impressively! Bought three pairs. I would recommend going up a size...I think I went up two sizes.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for arthritis sufferers

Durable and warm for cold weather

I've only been wearing Five Finger shoes for about 9 months. I have 4 different pairs. Insulated ones like this are my choice for colder weather. However, they are not waterproof, so don't walk in too many puddles. They are very durable and if you are used to minimal shoes they will be a great addition to your outfit. I enter it and work in it on concrete floors. Great shoes!

Pros
  • I like my new shoes
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with back pain

Size - exactly 2 sizes larger

Great product but I found the sizes surprisingly small. I usually have a 44 so I ordered a 45 due to the isolation. Should have gotten 46. I thought they might relax after a bit of use because it was tight but no.

Pros
  • this is a really good product. But it takes time to get used to them. It takes time to expand them
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people requiring orthopedic insoles.

It's snowing - my new review

I've been wearing finger pads for about 10 years, but my toes get cold in the snow. These are isolated. It's expected to snow here for the next 50 days. Let's see.

Pros
  • great design, keeps feet warm in the snow, but even for the size they were a bit small.
Cons
  • May not suit people with a wide arch of foot.

I'm usually quite comfortable in a size 42, but I got down to size.

First of all, as other reviews have mentioned, please order this at least 1-2 sizes larger than your usual VFF size. I'm usually quite comfortable in a size 42, but based on other reviews I chose a size 44 and I'm very glad I did. The extra insulation that makes this shoe great also makes it pretty snug if you go in your normal size. It's not on the way, wow. This is my 14th pair of VFFs and they are light tanks in this group. I wanted something I can wear in colder weather. I have a pair of…
