I really love these pencils, they are soft and vibrant.My only complaint - be sure to check the colors! My set came missing one pencil and a duplicate of another. I spoke with ebay and was given the option of returning the whole set (would that mean they just throw it away because I sharpened them?) or getting a small discount. I took the discount before I checked - these pencils are not available as open stock which means I can’t buy the missing color. While it’s not huge it kinda ☹️. And this

I have been wanting these forever and I finally was able to get some. Unfortunately it came with two of the same pencils so I am missing one. And for some reason # 2400 does not work with water.I am very sad and disappointed. I've been wanting these pencils for a few years, but they're expensive, so I jumped on the reduced price and got the 36, even though I really want the 72. Package came in a few days. Pencil tin was undamaged and pencils were shrink-wrapped inside.As far as quality and their performance, I can't add anything more than persons more knowledgeable than me have said. There is a learning curve using these, as well as several methods. I will enjoy exploring them all!

This is a great product, I bought it a few days ago and just decided to splurge on the 24 set of blocks. I was kind of confused as to why my tin case arrived plastic wrapped but without a lid, makes it harder to store. The colors are vibrant, blend with water and you can get gorgeous new colors. As others said the 12 pack could use a couple brighter colors but they're sold open stock at stores if you need a specific hue. I purchased a 24 set of these with hopes that I would like them, but not thinking that I would. Wrong! I really like these pencils. They are soft and buttery on lay down and they blend very well. These are comparable to Prismacolor, but not an exact dupe. The Prisma are softer and perform a bit better in my opinion, but these are close. I bought Chromaflow when it was first released and loved them. I was disappointed the most I could get was 24 colours. I read the outline from Derwent that they were developed to compete with Prismacolour, but as far as I was concerned, they were much better. I now have the 72 colour set and love them. The colour names are excellent - pickle, spice, sunset, flame. They go on smoothly without snagging on the paper.

I first tried these with a small set and fell in love with them. They are in the middle between the softness of the Prismacolors and the harder Faber-Castells. I would call them creamy feeling instead of soft butter like the Prisma's which are so easy to burnish as you color because of pressing too hard.The only thing I wish for with this set would be more colors. I love these pencils! Being an artist all my life these are a must have if you like watercolor pencils. They are good enough to be used dry, but come alive when water is applied.

Not sure why I hadn't tried these before but now that I have, I will be buying more sets and always keeping them handy. I am a mixed media artist and love that these pencils create a permanent color that can be layered. The colors are gorgeous and I reach for them in everything I paint. They last a long time too. So happy with these pencils.

Box arrived damaged outside as delivery man dropped it at my door step.Metal cover was torned and didn’t closed well but pencils and bottom box looked ok.I forced the cover for it to return to its original position. Not perfect but acceptable.No additional packing in box, except the other supplies ordered to pack items and protect them.I am hoping that the pencils lead aren’t broken.
