Description of πŸ”§ High Performance 1491 3" Stainless Steel V-Band Flange Assembly

V-Band Flange Assemblies are a popular and effective alternative to traditional flanged or slip fit tube connections. They work very well in operating conditions involving stress, vibration and extreme temperature fluctuations. The V-band clamp design allows for a gasket free seal and the quick release feature of these clamps makes swapping parts at the track quick and easy. Vibrant Performance V-band flange assemblies feature a unique "Male/Female" design to ensure proper alignment of the flanges inside the clamp. each assembly consists of two (2) V-band flanges and one (1) Quick Release V-band clamp. Aluminum V-band flange assembly for 3" OD tubing (Part #11491) now available, consisting of 2 aluminum flanges and a stainless steel V-band clamp.

Great stuff again!

Vibrant is my favorite of the budget exhaust components, they are VERY VERY good quality for the price you pay and they weld very well.

Pros
  • The V-clamp design ensures a seal without gaskets, and the quick-release feature of these clamps allows for quick and easy replacement of parts on the track.
Cons

Definitely the Best V-Flange

This is the best V-Band I have ever used! The design has a protrusion on one end and a slot on the other strap rather than just a flat surface. This paired perfectly with the strips with added leak protection. Anyone who has used a flat V-Band and suffers from leaks will appreciate this design. The best at all!

Pros
  • Each assembly consists of two (2) V-Flanges and one (1) quick release V-Clamp.
Cons
  • Available in white only

Great flange for V-band capable exhaust systems

Works exactly like intended for a 3" exhaust to the turbocharger port on a vehicle. I have had exhaust systems that were not V-band capable/compatible and I can say the V-bands far outperform them in terms of quality and ease of installation Pros/Cons: + Easy to install + Quick to install + Durable + Quality - A bit expensive

Pros
  • Aluminum V-flange for 3" OD pipe (P/N 11491) is now available, consisting of 2 aluminum flanges and a stainless steel V-clamp.
Cons
  • Functionality

Fine Stainless Steel Detailing

There are V-shaped exhaust flanges, and there are these. Beautiful stainless steel details. I have four in total. I TIG welded one side to the end of the stainless steel manifold with no problems. Other flanges I looked at didn't have fittings as thick/deep as this one. Expensive but I am very satisfied.

Pros
  • V-Clamp flange assemblies are a popular and effective alternative to traditional flanged or slip-fit tube connections. They perform very well under operating conditions involving stress, vibration and extreme temperature fluctuations.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Works great - strong as a rock. A bit expensive though.

Works great - solid as a rock. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The ability to rotate the pipe before clamping is invaluable, especially when attempting to join non-standard parts. Make sure wherever you install it you can use a wrench to tighten the clamp as this can be a little tricky.

Pros
  • Vibrant Performance V-Flanges have a unique male/female design to ensure proper alignment of the flanges within the clamp.
Cons
  • Nothing here
