I ended up sending this item back. We tried using an insert that was supposed to fit our tube, but when we inserted it in the middle, it came loose and the tree continued to tilt from side to side. When we tried to tighten the insert further onto the tube to see if it could go deeper into the recess, the plastic cracked. We were very disappointed and had to return the item.
