It's easy to use and I like the big water canister. There's really no noticeable fog, and you have to be close to feel the effect. My bedroom is medium in size and doesn't span the entire space. Also, it doesn't turn off automatically, so it keeps blowing air and drying out the filter. I bought 3 for different rooms, the 2 that didn't open will be returned.

It's definitely painful for the eyes and quite big. You definitely can't avoid it, but it's nothing for decoration. & I mean. You have to clean the filter, and the filter gets pretty dry. Other than that, this is a pretty standard humidifier and does what it's designed to do. It makes an odd gulping sound that doesn't bother me too much. Aroma capsules are quite expensive and rather useless. Don't buy this just for those flavor capsules.

This is the second Vicks Cool Mist humidifier that I have purchased. I received the other from the target. I use them in my children's rooms. The fan on this one makes an awful noise when turned on. I can't even use it because it keeps my baby up at night. I wish I could return it but I threw away the box thinking I would get a fine working humidifier like the previous one I bought. I only gave it 2 stars because if I can run it in a room without my baby, it maintains humidity well.

Worked great with the original filter that came with it, but the replacement filters offered were too big even when the instructions were followed closely. At least half an inch more the tank doesn't sit flush. Customer service used a scripted response that repeated useless instructions. By using the filter as often as you need to if you want to flip the filter every time you fill the tank as directed you will be going through 5-7 filters a week.
