It really does look as good as the real thing and on the internet I am writing this while sitting in bed sipping my coffee and looking at it. I can hardly tell that the lid is plastic. First good. The light emitted by the device is quite soft and not overwhelming even at maximum brightness. Unfortunately, the supplied hardware and instructions are not compatible. are so close to the ballast that they are not accessible. Guess which one I had to use. The instructions say to install the two screws provided 2/3 or fully and then slide the block over them to mount the light in the junction box. Very happy with the lamp. The finish is nice, the plastic cover diffuses the light well and the color temperature seems spot on (it matches other 3000K lights I've installed them on). I'm deducting a star because the mounting screws that came with the flashlight don't go through the mounting holes in the base of the flashlight. What should have been a simple matter was aligning the light with the screws, twisting and tightening, because getting the screws through the light and finding the holes

Perfect bright downlight to replace an old ceiling fan with small candelabra bulbs that don't give enough light. We recently converted the guest bedroom into a walk-in closet as our home is lacking in storage space and a closet (and this is a work in progress). The kit included mounting screws that didn't fit the holes. This created a terrible problem. See image. You need to put the screws in the box, put the template on top and rotate it so that it stays upright. Then tighten the screws. If the screws do NOT go through the holes. you spend hours on it just like me. With one hand you hold the lamp on the ceiling and with the other you try to find a hole that you can't touch.
