Overall good product

Cutting ability and product quality are not an issue. The only complaint would be that the grip needs a bit more depth and is too light. The handle is where you need the weight to keep the knife under control but overall a decent product.

Victorinox knives are my favorites!

I've been using Victorinox knives for about 12 years and when they go missing at family gatherings etc although I'm frustrated at having to replace them I know that whoever finds my old ones will love them !

Pros
  • Still has it like everyone
Cons
  • No insurance

Simply great knives! - Cutlery & Knife Accessories

We use them for almost everything. Such as steak knives, paring knives, vegetable cutters, etc. They are suitable for many things, sharp and inexpensive. They are also dishwasher safe and have not shown any signs of wear for almost a year. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Minor Trouble

The handle is very thin. But this is the fourth one I've bought.

When I bought my first one a few years ago I was disappointed with how thin and light they were. But the more I use it, the more I like it every day. The only criticism is that the grip is flimsy and difficult to hold with a medium sized hand. But now this is my knife for small cutting jobs. It stays sharp and the blade has a slight curve.

In a nutshell - suitable for cutlery and knife accessories

Inexpensive knife with excellent performance. The blade holds a sharp edge well, the handle is a decent size. Very functional. All my kids had a Victorinox set that included this 4 inch knife, a 3 inch paring knife and a 6 inch chef's knife. They lasted all four years. We appreciated them a lot when we gave them as Christmas gifts to family/friends. We have found that inexpensive Victorinox knives do a lot of good. Recommend.

Very good price for paring knife

Pleasant surprise - very good price for a decent everyday knife that can also be misused - light, good grip despite the plastic handle, nice blade, sharp but a bit thin so won't have any long endurance - very good value for money - it may not have the beauty of a $200 Japanese knife of the same size, but then compared to Victorinox it needs to be spoiled and loved, it is 100% practical and requires nothing in return to get the job done!

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons

Not Sharp Enough!: Kitchen & Dining

I've been buying these knives for years. They have always been very inexpensive knives with excellent quality. The edge was at the right angle and I've sharpened it many times with amazing results. But this time they weren't the same. They weren't sharp initially and after sharpening they were still not as good as they used to be. I slowly angle back and they feel better. I don't know if it was just because mine came from a faulty batch, but I definitely felt the difference.

Returning Victorinox customer

That's what Revain called this paring knife when I bought it, but they've since corrected the description to "useful". The utility knife is what I got although I ordered a paring knife. I had both and was dying for a paring knife (to work with food). They're so similar that they don't really matter in the end, but I prefer the ergonomics of a paring knife handle. The blades are the same as far as I can tell. Both knives are comfortable to hold and I can work comfortably with them over long…

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Some little things

Good knives: Cutlery and knife accessories

I like good knives in the kitchen (Shun, Eberhart Schaf etc.). One of my favorite inexpensive knives is Forshner (Victronox). It's really hard to beat for the price. I recently decided that I need decent steak knives. After considering all the options, I decided to buy these paring knives for this purpose. You came today. They're just as good as I expected (good) and amazingly sharp right out of the box. I know they are very easy to sharpen when needed and hold up pretty well from my experience
