has two speeds slower and slower. Might be ok if you just want to get some exercise, but don't expect to get cold unless you're in a car.

It works, I give it. but it is LITTLE! Much less than I expected. Details speak of its high speed. Couldn't be further from the truth. It's a light fan, nothing more. Return same day!

I have this to go in my bedroom window to get some air. It's not very powerful, only 2 speeds. For what I paid for it, I expected it to really explode. The maximum speed is similar to the medium/low speed of other desktop fans. I wouldn't recommend it for a desktop fan as it's big but blows quietly.

Update: This fan just stopped working after less than a year. Works great as a fan to keep me cool when sleeping about 5ft away. 3 stars because he sometimes falls down while sitting on a flat surface as if he couldn't handle his own strength. I like the handle for easy portability.

Please understand that this is a 12 inch fan with more than adequate speed for its size. It has 2 speeds, the lowest is pretty quiet. A higher speed increases the volume, but is not annoying. It only consumes 27 watts of power, which is quite little for the amount of air. Now if you want quiet, go to the wall world and buy a 20 inch box fan for $20 and watch the blades spin. You don't get any air, but it's fairly quiet and would make a lovely addition to a sparsely furnished apartment.
