Picked this up for an old PC we set up my son on. We haven't had any connection, volume or picture issues. The controls are a bit unwieldy, but we don't use them as much as we do from a PC. The base takes up more space than it probably needs. So if you're in a very small space, you might want to consider a different mount.

The price compared to the feature set and performance was good. If you have a Roku or Fire Stick, you can easily use them with this device. Other than that, I don't like the "hidden" local control keys. awkward. But all the settings are involved: volume, input source, etc. If there was a REMOTE for this thing I would give it FIVE STARS.

This is a great purchase! If you're looking for a cheap monitor that can get you into the gaming scene with a new build, or if you just need a monitor to get you started, this monitor is a great choice. The almost frameless bezel is great and the picture looks good. Now I'm not a color snob or anything but there were no dead pixels and I didn't notice and the black light bled at all. All in all, a great entry-level monitor or a great monitor for an office PC. Definitely recommend.

Again, there's really nothing to complain about for this money. I use two monitors for my business so I compared it to my other monitor which is Acer - probably in the same price range maybe a little less. The only difference I see is that Viewsonic has a white screen tint while Acer has a bluer one. I make graphics and I'm good at working with any of them. The monitor itself is 'ok' in terms of what it promises. Although it comes with a desktop stand, this stand doesn't allow you to adjust the height or even the tilt of the monitor much. I was impressed with the quality and features. I bought it on sale so it was worth the purchase for me. The only problem I have is removing the neck that connects to the stand. I currently have it mounted on a dual monitor desktop stand with necks attached. Not easy to remove from my POV. However, consider this a minor issue as I was still able to attach it to the dual monitor desktop stand as is.

Update: The color issues I was having were due to a misconfiguration of the default drivers for this monitor. Even the drivers on the ViewSonic website are set up incorrectly. This monitor was set to the restricted RGB mode by default, even after resetting to the default setting via the monitor's OSD menu. This can be fixed using Nvidia/AMD/Intel Control Panel software. For the price I was expecting a bit more quality overall. As many have pointed out, black is not perfect. I have clear light bleeding on the upper edge. However, I desperately needed a monitor that had the audio inputs and audio outputs I need, and many monitors in this price range don't have that.
