Don't let this product fool you like I did. ViewSonic would have you believe that this monitor works in both landscape and portrait modes. Well, it only happens manually. You rotate the monitor and your PC/application does not recognize the change. You must change the settings manually. Every time you change them. And it took a week for someone from the support department to let us know that this was intentional. Find a replacement now.

Great monitor, I liked it so much I ordered another one. Clear clear screen, easy to adjust the height. I like the flat base so I can rest my keyboard on it and keep typing when I need more desk space.

I can't stand the way this thing turns off, turns off when you haven't abused it. This is the second screen that works when using two screens. It's a shame I didn't buy it for that reason. It is perfectly adjustable. I can't say anything about the image quality as I only look at scanned recordings and print text documents. I wouldn't say it's a particularly sharp image for that alone, but it's hard to say.

The entire screen turned light green and stayed that way despite trying to use it on different computers, different cables, etc. It was sent back to the manufacturer for repair but it takes about 2 weeks. I think they did a great job fixing it, but I expected it to take longer than it does now.

Viewsonic is the "gold standard" for monitors. I've been using it for 20 years now and have never had any problems. I can't prove it, but I suspect other monitor manufacturers measure their Viewsonic products.

I tried an Acer monitor but was very disappointed (an understatement). This monitor (with a slight adjustment) gives me the color accuracy I need. Very happy. The sound did not try, it is not necessary. In my opinion the best buy for the money.

I have 2 of these monitors and rotated them vertically for my software applications. No extra bulky stand required, they rotate on their own! The built-in USB hub is also a plus.

I used the VG2239 alongside my desktop with an Asus display. The picture quality was so much better that I gave the Asus to my daughter and ordered another ViewSonic. I highly recommend this impressive monitor!

Didn't damage it or anything but became defective. There's a reason they don't allow you to upload photos. Excellent overall performance!

A monitor that does its job very well as long as you don't look far off-axis in portrait mode shouldn't be smart enough to switch to portrait mode without your help and your operating system without making changes to the low-light settings. (Possibly without a magnifying glass and flashlight.) The buttons are labeled left to right 1, 2, small dot, slightly different small dot, all black, lightly engraved on the plastic. However, all of these things are mostly tweaked or learned after a few days

Good product. I will buy one again anytime. I only buy Viewsonic VG or VP monitors. They are excellent for graphics applications.

Fantastic monitor! I just bought a new computer and needed to replace my old monitor with one that has a display port connection. Easy connection and no configuration required. Just plug in your computer and turn it on. The ad is amazing. Works great for what I need. I'm not a gamer, so I don't need high specs and extremely high refresh rates. The price is also much lower than a similar monitor offered by my computer manufacturer.

The anti-glare coating makes colors and text appear less bright and sharp. Compared to the HP Elite Monitor, the monitor screen is not as bright and sharp. However, several adjustments are available to improve the appearance of the image. Otherwise a quality product

Arrived and had a dmi cable so I didn't have to buy it separately. The LED screen is beautiful and suitable for business and the price is 5 stars

I can only give this product 1 star because I haven't been able to use it. I didn't understand Displayport which wasn't compatible with my systems. If the interface was bi-directional and interface hardware was available I could use it. As a result, the product was returned and I purchased an ASUS 23 inch monitor (which I use in a dual monitor configuration). Although ASUS has Displayport connectivity, it also has HDMI and uses IPS technology.

It just so happens, but I've never been able to figure out why ViewSonic is selling this device without a DisplayPort cable. It's very sad.

My son got his new computer this Christmas and it has been the perfect match. He does graphic design, writing and even CAD. The rotation feature is a nice plus, but for the price, the sharpness and colors are great. BY THE WAY. I'm a professional photographer (40+ years old) and this meets my Photoshop standards.

These monitors are very standard units. I have 2 of these in the setup I'm printing this on and 3 others used by other people around the house and workshop. They are well suited for displaying basic data and as secondary displays for gaming systems. The color was real enough for the purpose and there's nothing terribly offensive about them. I returned this item because the picture was too blurry. Instead I bought an Acer monitor with a very clear picture. Model 204Y. Very sharp picture. Adjustable height.
