Wanted digital splitter - item doesn't indicate if it was - looked and behaved exactly like a $1 item from a dollar- Charge - never used - waste of money

I bought this hoping it would work with Direct TV - it doesn't. So if you have a SWM system. I can't tell if it works or not as it doesn't work with my service. There is only one cable line in my apartment. The problem is that I have three televisions. I found this splitter and thought I'd give it a try. This splitter works as it should. There are three connections, two lower frequencies and one higher. The higher is used to run the line farther so the signal stays good. But either way, this product from Viewsonics does what it's supposed to and works for all cable disconnection needs.

Know when a 3-way unbalanced splitter is best for your needs. I needed a 3-way outdoor splitter for four devices, where two devices next to each other were already using a 2-way splitter.
