Not Worth the Price Tag

This industrial drill bit may come with a high price tag, but it fails to deliver the promised durability and precision. While the quality of the material used for the bit is commendable, the design doesn't allow for easy extraction of the bit once it's penetrated the material. As a result, it's not a worthwhile investment for those in the industrial and scientific fields.

Pros
  • Durable material
Cons
  • Poor design leads to difficulty extracting bit.

Expensive but well made in the USA.

Expensive but high quality material typically made in USA. These bits are for the stainless steel I need. Also comes with real steel index. Worth the money if you want a quality tool.

Pros
  • M-42 Cobalt contains 8% cobalt
Cons
  • Not reliable

They look great and seem to be drilling well. The time will show.

I was a bit concerned that I didn't see any real cobalt stamping on the drills, nor any stamping, only etching. They look pretty well made. I've tried Bosch and a couple of Century Tool Cobalt's, some of which were great because they had 8% Co instead of 5%, but they claim to be a real deal and so far they drill just as well as they do. Any brand new drill goes through the aluminum I've drilled, so time will tell. Assuming they are real M42s, I'd say it's a lot.

Pros
  • 135 degree bevel for precise centering and fast penetration
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
