Works as advertised. The control ring works. I tested Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 and Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 with AE chip for EF mount with adapter and both lenses worked fine.

Cannot recommend this for R6. Can't get the ring to work hopefully this will fix the update but then finally found out it drains the battery even when the camera is off. deal breaker. Again, hopefully a firmware update will make it a good half-price alternative.

I have the Canon control ring adapter version and it works great with all the lenses I've tried with it, including 3rd party lenses. I upgraded to R6 and wanted to include an adapter in the RI on sale so I bought this adapter as no Canon RF adapters were found. It worked because the lens interacted with the camera, but the control ring didn't work with any lens I tried. In addition, the white balance and the brightness of the image on the display kept changing, even if no settings were changed.

I bought this adapter because my original Canon adapter got lost in the mail for a while. It fits but is not tight like the Canon branded adapter (OEM version was two weeks late and works great). I definitely needed another EF to R ring mount and Viltrox is the one. This ring mount adapter responds well. I set my ring to aperture control but I tested it with shutter speed and ISO and it worked great! It's very snug to the body and feels secure when I mount one of my lenses on it. My heaviest lens is the Canon EF 70-200 F/2.8 USM mk I and it easily handles a 5 pound lens.
