My 9 year old is obsessed with this set. The colors are nice, there is a good range, albeit very small cubes. This is just to get you started and to pique your interest. The texture allows for easy handling, although it takes some muscle to make it flexible! Sculptures bake well when properly assembled. This is a great kit for beginners or those just wanting to get into the world of polymer clay. I bought this to make some earrings in my spare time and I really like how they came out. I've never worked with polymer clay before, so I really liked how easy it was to use. They are glossy because I used gloss paint after baking, but other than that they are matte after baking.
