It was a valuable find! I had my mother-in-law's old aluminum juicer that had aluminum leeches in the juice (also on kitchen towels) - which is pretty toxic! I was so excited to find the same enamelled juicer! In my opinion, this is the easiest manual juicer! Now I feel safe using it with a protective coating! Thank you for updating a great product!

Used one of these as a kid and squeezed liters of orange juice as a college student (orange trees grew on campus :-) ). A coating is essential as citric acid reacts with aluminum. Easily disassembled for washing in the dishwasher (simply remove the hinge pin). Although it can be washed in the dishwasher, it is easily cleaned with a hand rinse and at most a sponge without disassembly. MUCH better than any other manual juicer. Clean, clear and simple - this product is what it is. About 3 large oranges fill a pint glass. Cleaning is easy - use a brush to remove the remaining peel in some places, then hand or machine wash. Some people have written that when you squeeze, the juice tends to spill out at the top, which is true, but only if you use chunks that are too big. Perfectly squeezes all the juice from limes, oranges and lemons. I tested this with another citrus press, then put citrus back in this one and was able to get even more juice. It doesn't work at all with apples if they aren't grated first. With pears it works so-so, clumps remain and the juice comes out at the top.
