They glow but lose their brightness very quickly. They worked best in the early twilight, when the white balls start to disappear. The soft glow still stands out against the grass a bit, but regular neon balls are pretty much on par. As soon as it gets dark, they disappear into thin air like any other sphere. For late twilight and dark times, I recommend LED balls. On the plus side they seem to hit like a regular ball and appear to be of decent quality, they just lack real brilliance.

** ATTENTION! I bought 3 packs for a group of friends who play at night and one of those packs didn't light up at all. I'm in the process of replacing them as I haven't had this problem with the first two purchases.
