Cons
  • Something else

Not as bright in golf balls

I took these to help me find golf balls at night. I live in the golf community so sometimes we just go out and throw some balls and end up losing a lot of balls. They don't shine as bright as in the pictures shown. I ended up buying neon balloons.

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Do not buy these balls

I bought these balls for the light ball team tournament at my golf course. The teams couldn't even finish 2 holes because each ball fell completely apart on contact. Most from the first contact. I bought 3 packs of 16 balls - they were all destroyed. Save yourself the hassle and buy another ball. Very disappointing.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Fragile

Don't waste your money

This is rubbish. I fired 3 shots with these bullets and each one broke on the first shot. They weren't even perfect. They were recommended to me by a friend who said they fly like a regular golf ball but definitely can't handle the pressure. He had no problem with his own but every shot I took broke the ball. I am returning 13 unused balls and 3 broken balls.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine

Our experience with these balls.

Price approx $2 per ball. When we use them they sit on the training turf under 3ft of UV light for a long time before we hit them to charge them. At nightly parties, we throw balls from the deck onto the field. We need to get out pretty quick to get the orbs before the orb glow gets too dim to find. Good product that we keep buying.

Pros
  • Cool Item
Cons
  • Weight

DO NOT BUY Golf balls break with use

The first time I teeed off with a golf ball, I hit it hard with the driver. Upon contact with the outer layer of a golf ball, the luminous layer is completely peeled off the inside of the ball. Hoping it was lucky, I threw another for an iron punch from 150 yards. Same result with iron. The cover came off 20 feet and the inside of the ball was about 50 yards from the green. Avoid this product!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some difficulties

The shine doesn't last long, you have to recharge often

They last about 20 minutes on a charge no matter how long they are in the light or the sun. They come in a soft postal envelope only, with no box or instructions. Either place them in the sun or use a flashlight to charge, but be sure to turn them over so all sides are lit. We went through about a hole before we had to charge, and the orbs were hard to see because they'd lost their glow. Feel and hit like a real golf ball vs those with glow sticks etc so they fit your clubs better.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Quality

They're cheap in the sport

They're cheap so they can work for what you need. This is the first light up golf ball I have ever bought. I thought I ordered the ones that light up on impact. After throwing them on the floor about a dozen times, I realized they weren't. Advantages. They work best when it's completely dark. It takes about 20 seconds to charge with a flashlight and about 5 minutes in bright light. They feel very solid when hitting and the ball flight is pretty good for the same distance as a regular golf ball.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable
