Does it work with dashcams

It's ok. I can see the screen well because it's very small and placed at a bad angle on the windshield. You can adjust the camera but not the screen position. Works normally with the phone, but you can only access it when you're nearby.

Definitely handles the heat

It made it through the New Mexico heat with no problems, our last blocked in a hotter 90+ days, this one even in 100+ and continued to sit in the sun. Its standby mode will not let the headunit believe it has an overcharged battery and will turn off accessories like the old one.

I'm sorry, I had a few

. As far as I know the lens can be sharp as a Leica and super fast in low light, but it will take some time before I really know after temporarily attaching it to my windshield work truck and then tearing it with me more (okay, everything) force off. Now it doesn't stick to the glass of my truck anymore. Also, the big spot is RED. I think I better find the PERFECT PLACE for him after I change the RED patch.

Pretty decent camera

This is the DVR to buy if you want to reduce your liability rather than determine the actual driver responsible. Image at dusk/night is a bit grainy and reading license plates at any time of the day or night is good luck. But if you need a dash cam on a budget, this one is definitely worth buying. Make sure you also buy a polarized lens to reduce unwanted reflections.

Buy VIOFO A119 V3 instead

I bought A129 for Wi-Fi function to transfer clips to my phone faster, but VIOFO app is complete nonsense and doesn't work for video transmission or live camera view . With the app not available, there's no point in buying the A129 Plus for the Wi-Fi capability instead of the A119 V3, which is essentially the same camera except the A119 doesn't support Wi-Fi.
