Too many problems. Look elsewhere.

I had high hopes for this DVR. I bought a Samsung Pro SD card harness. A week of trying and dealing with OS crashes due to finicky wifi and parking mode sometimes recorded and sometimes not. Even after a firmware update. Yes, correctly connected. I even had to send back the first set of cables because it was defective.

GET A HIGH DURABILITY SD CARD

I couldn't watch videos through the app or on my computer until I bought a hardened micro SD card. Now it seems to be working fine. The app is still mostly useless aside from changing camera settings, but I can now view video files from my SD card on my computer. Camera quality is decent, night vision is not bad. The installation is quite easy. I think a lot of the negative feedback comes from people who don't use high endurance cards.

Good quality camera

Initial stickers suck, I advise you to buy a 3M sticker roll. Make sure you loop on a good loop or you could miss the footage. The only thing I hate about the camera is that I have to sit in the car and capture or view all the footage and not have to send straight from the camera to the phone from the phone. But the video quality is pretty good. I love it, it's a good starter. If you live in the city, we strongly recommend getting a front and rear camera.

Don't buy it very very bad dvr

I use this Viofo a129 IR for Uber and Lyft, the video is good and clear, in the car it's good at night, after 29 days of using Viofo the camera works not anymore, it still hangs right there. I'm trying everything Viofo technicians told me but it doesn't work and now customer service won't answer my emails to solve or refund my money so please my brother, uber or lyft driver. I don't recommend anyone to buy this Viofo product, it's rubbish, please don't waste your money, try blueskysea b2w or…

An IR camera is absolutely essential for driver safety!

Absolutely stunning DVR in terms of value for money. My friends and I are serious drivers when it comes to making videos for our website. This dash cam is so efficient that I never had to remove my SD card as I download videos from the dash cam directly to my photo album on my iPhone. Fantastic video quality

I'm not an Uber/Lyft driver. There are two main reasons for buying an A129 Duo IR to replace a single DVR: First, I need a DVR that not only records incoming traffic but can also record our upcoming family member in the back seat. Decent camera, app not very desirable UPDATED, do not buy

UPDATE IN 5 MONTHS: DVR no longer activates WiFi (see photo). I can no longer load frames on the go, making my use completely useless. I paid $140 for it. Looks like a SCAM. I'll give that a slightly lower score, mainly because the Android app is a bit finicky. If you don't care about the app, then this is the 4-star dashcam for you.
