It's not worth spending the extra money for a color remote as the screen dims until you press a button or use a toggle switch. it lights up briefly and then goes out again or goes out again. Also, the buttons are very sensitive/positioned too far out and can be disarmed/armed/remote started at any time in a pocket. this can be very disappointing.

I love this alarm clock. I have a 2012 Scion xB and it was installed by my buddy at Best Buy (used to work there lol). I originally bought this product because of the color display and remote start. I learned that you can arm, disarm, or remote start a car up to a mile away. It shows the inside temperature and according to the manual it can be synchronized with two cars. It has the best motion detection and when someone approaches it gives an alarm. And you don't need batteries to charge it, plug it into a USB port and you're done once it's fully charged. Excellent purchase!
