Useless in my opinion. First, almost all of these cables do not have a lock nut. Of course mine got caught and I ended up cutting it off. So I figured no problem, just buy another one from the hardware store. Well, when trying to use SAE and metric nuts that didn't fit, the cable housing came out. I was also very careful.
