Believe it or not, I had trouble finding shoes with velcro. They look good, are affordable and stay on my nephew's feet. He has special needs and almost tiptoes with one foot and this shoe stays up with no problems. I am very comfortable.

When my son wore his shoes to school today, I saw that there was already a hole under the toe for both shoes. If your child is active and wears shoes to gym class or intends to run/play in them outside, look elsewhere.

My son has twisted ankles and can only carry sketches. It is oversized for a Velcro strap. So we tried this brand and we have a winner, they are wide enough, strong, light weight and there is a smaller size alternative. Definitely recommend trying it.
