I needed a compact reader that could read CF and SD cards. This one does the trick. While I like the fact that it plugs directly into a USB port, its design means it tends to dangle. If you don't move around with your laptop, that's not a problem. You can always use the included USB extension cable. Despite the rippled nature of this reader, I would still recommend it. And the price is right.

I travel quite a bit and have had trouble getting a small, rugged memory card reader that works with both SD and SD cards. After four tries I think I found exactly what I was looking for. It seems very well made and quite small compared to the other three I've been through. I was so impressed that I bought a second one.

worked 2-3 times, but the pins are so thin and weak that after inserting a compact flash card several times, the pins wear out and they clap. Waste of time and $$
